Wine...what it is to me.

So, for my first blog on this new site, i thought it would be fitting to share with you what Wine is to me.

In reality, it's pretty simple, wine is an Adventure. Wine is something that changes by almost every bottle. Wine is something that changes continually. Every year, every bottle, every vineyard, every winemaker will create something different, even if they are not trying to change. The weather, water, soil, everything in the grapes environment has an effect on the taste of wine, and in my opinion, unless someone is using chemicals, the taste will never be the same year to year, it just can't because of the changes that happen naturally year to year.

So what does this all boil down to. It's a never ending Adventure that could easily go ones lifetime without ever ending, because every time you think you have an answer, it changes. It's this simple fact keeps me interested and always wondering what secrets the next bottle of wine holds.
