Out & About - The Point (Fresno)

So, tonight a friend and I made our way up to Fresno Ca. It's a Monday and after a trip to Total Wines to help my friend pick out a few bottles of wine, it was time for dinner. I've gotten away from going to the big chain restaurants and prefer to try to find the little local places.

So, for one of the first times I pulled up Yelp and did a search and The Point, Patio Bar & Bistro came up. There aren't a lot of small little joints with a good selection of wine open on a Monday. People need a break.

I was surprised at what I found. While they don't have a lot of pictures of the place online, they did have one that looked like a pretty awesome patio. And it was! Albeit we didn't sit outside because it's starting to get a little to cold for that.

The setting is pretty relaxed, a modern room with concert floors and some rock on the walls. The bar is pretty awesome looking with under the counter lights, glass tiles, a good selection of liquor and beer, and even some high quality wines on tap.

The food was amazing. I ordered a chicken pasta dish (simple yes) but very well done. The chicken was well cooked and not dried out. I had a glass, yes a glass of Caymus.

To top it all off, the service was outstanding. If your in Fresno and looking for a little joint to get a meal from, give The Point a try. If you do, hope you have the same experience I had.
