A Cool Bottle - CAB

On vacation and I walked into the local HEB (great store if you're ever in Texas visiting, check them out). I took a little walk through the wine area. (HEB in the last five years has really tried to set themselves apart while maintaining lower prices. I would say they have done a pretty good job of it.)

While walking through their couple of aisles of wine, I saw a rectangular, all black bottle with what looked like a couple of small windows on it. I saw the price ($13), that it’s a cab, and a pretty cool bottle. So I picked it up and put it in the basket, deal done. (Real tough sell I know.)

So the wine itself… It’s average in my book. It had a lot of bite on it but that’s understandable because it’s a young Cab and pretty cheap. But let’s be honest, I didn’t buy this bottle thinking there would be amazing wine, it was just a cool bottle. But, the second day it mellowed out some and was decent. At least for just sipping on while watching some football.
